Hydrangea paniculata ‘Vanilla Fraise’

A vigorous, spreading to upright deciduous shrub which has mid to dark green leaves. Bears large creamy-white flowerheads which turn shades of pink as they age, before finally turning rich red and russet tones late summer and early autumn.

Grow in moist but well-drained humus-rich soil in full sun or partial shade. Protect from cold winds. If cut back to around 15cm in February each year it will grow to 1-1.5m tall and will flower abundantly.
