Red Orach produces tender leaves, which are a great alternative to spinach or chard, with a mild spinach-like flavour. Use the young, tender leaves in salads or steam like spinach. It grows quickly early in the year, supplying you with early leaves from the vegetable patch. Beware, this variety is an enthusiastic self-seeder. Grows to 1m. Space 25cm apart.
