Saponaria ocymoides

Rock Soapwort. A mat-forming, spreading, semi-evergreen perennial which has ovate to lance-shaped, softly hairy, bright green leaves . From spring to summer loose clusters of tiny pink flowers are borne.

Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained, preferably neutral to alkaline soil in sun. Site carefully as it tends to spread by rhizomes. It will reach a height of 10cm and a spread of 45cm.
