Acaena microphylla

New Zealand Burr. A compact, mat-forming, evergreen perennial which has pinnate, bronze-green leaves divided into rounded leaflets. From July to September, spherical, reddish-brown flower heads are borne which are followed by bright red burrs.

Grow in well-drained soil, in sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 5cm and a spread of 15cm
