Althaea officinalis

Marsh mallow. An erect perennial which has soft hairy leaves. From July to September pale lilac-pink flowers are borne. Sometimes grown for culinary or medicinal purposes.

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 2m and a spread of 1.4m.
