Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea ‘Red Chief’

A small shrub with an upright habit, later with arching branches. Stems are bright red whilst the narrow leaves are deep red-purple.

Grows in almost any well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 1.2m and spread of 1.8m in 10 years.
