Catalpa bignonioides ‘Aurea’

Indian Bean Tree. A spreading tree with broad heart-shaped large yellow leaves bronze when young. White, marked yellow and purple-brown flowers are borne from July to August on upright panicles followed by slender seed pods.

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun with shelter from strong winds. Unripened wood is prone to frost damage. It will reach a height and spread of 10m.
