Centranthus ruber var. coccineus

Crimson Red Valerian. A clump-forming, bushy, semi-evergreen perennial which has blue-green foliage. From spring to autumn, small, funnel-shaped, pinky-red flowers are borne in dense clusters. Self seeds freely.

Grow in a well-drained soil that is poor to moderately fertile, ideally a chalky or stony soil. It has good drought resistance; thrives on walls and in coastal gardens. It will reach a height of 1m and a spread of 60cm.
