Colchicum autumnale ‘Major’

Autumn Crocus. Meadow Saffron. A vigorous, cormous perennial which bears erect, linear-lance-shaped to broadly lance-shaped leaves. In September and October, goblet-shaped, lavender-pink flowers are borne.

Grow in deep, fertile, well-drained soil that is not too dry in full sun. Ideal for naturalising under grass under a specimen tree. It will reach a height of 10-15cm and a spread of 8cm.
