Echinops bannaticus ‘Taplow Blue’

An erect, clump-forming perennial which has spiny, deeply-divided, grey-green leaves, white beneath. In early July, spherical, powder-blue, thistle-like flowerheads are borne.

Grow in a hot position in well drained soil in full sun, but will grow in almost any other soil or position except for heavy shade. It will reach a height of 1.5m and a spread of 1m.
