Festuca amethystina

A densely tufted, tussock-forming, evergreen, perennial grass which has soft, narrowly linear, grey-green leaves. In June and July, violet-tinted purplish flowers are borne which turn buff as they age. Flower stems often colour well as flower colour fades.

Grow in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 45cm and a spread of 25cm.
