Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra ‘Bleeding Hearts’

An upright, clump-forming perennial bearing lance-shaped, toothed, purple-flushed, dark green leaves. From midsummer to early autumn, purple-black stems bearing daisy-like, red flowers turning orange-red to yellow-orange with age are borne.

Grow in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. May need support. It will reach a height of 1.2m and a sprewad of 50cm.
