Hyacinthoides non-scripta

English Bluebell. A pretty native spring bulb with narrow, glossy, dark green leaves. From March to May erect stems of pendent mid-blue, sometimes white, bell-shaped flowers with reflexed petal tips are borne.

Grow in a shaded site in any moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil that does not dry out. It will reach a height of 40cm and a spread of 10cm.
