Knautia macedonica

A clump-forming perennial which has narrow, lance-shaped basal leaves while the leaves on the stems are divided into fern-like segments. Long lasting, deep red pincushion flowers are borne on the stems from midsummer to autumn.

Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained, slightly alkaline soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 75cm and a spread of 45cm.
