Magnolia x soulangiana

A large wide-spreading shrub which bears large, tulip shaped, white, stained rose-purple flowers which appear in April or May before the foliage.

Grow in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil which is acid to neutral in sun or partial shade. It will reach an ultimate height and spread of 6m.
