Oenothera lindheimeri ‘Whirling Butterflies’

Synonym Gaura lindheimeri ‘Whirling Butterflies’. A bushy, clump-forming perennial which has slender stems which bear spoon-shaped to lance-shaped, toothed, grey-green leaves. From May to October, red stems  bearing white, star-shaped flowers with red sepals are borne on slender stems.

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun, but drought and partial shade are tolerated. It will reach a height of 1.2m and a spread of 1m.
