Rheum palmatum var. tanguticum

A clump-forming perennial with large, deeply cut red-purple leaves fading to green. In June large panicles of cerise flowers are borne.

Grow in any moisture retentive, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 2m and a spread of 1.5m.
