Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Red Thunder’

A striking, upright, clump-forming herbaceous perennial with finely divided, blue-green foliage that creates a light, airy base in borders and naturalistic planting schemes. From mid to late summer, tall, slender stems carry elongated, deep crimson-red flower spikes that sway gracefully above the foliage, adding height, movement and a rich splash of colour. Highly attractive to pollinators.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Ideal for prairie-style planting, borders or alongside water. It will reach a height of 100-140cm and a spread of 50-70cm.
