Symphyotrichum lateriflorus var. horizontalis

A clump-forming perennial which has widely spreading, purple stems bearing linear, dark green leaves. From midsummer to mid-autumn, white, sometimes pink-flushed flower heads with pink centres are borne.

Grow in well-cultivated, fertile, moist soil in sun or partial shade It will reach a height of 60cm and a spread of 40cm.
