Trillium chloropetalum

A robust, clump-forming perennial with thick, hairless, red-green stems. Stalkless, broadly ovate to diamond shaped, dark green leaves are variably marbled greyish cream or maroon. In spring, upright, stalkless, fragrant flowers, with obovate, greenish white, yellow, or brownish purple petals, and spreading lance-shaped sepals are borne above or amongst the leaves.

Grow in moist but well-drained, deep, humus-rich, preferably acid to neutral soil, in deep or partial shade. It will reach a height of upto 40cm and a spread of upto 20cm.
