Trillium kurabayashii

A robust, clump-forming perennial which has erect stems bearing whorled, broadly ovate, dark green leaves, that are heavily mottled with silver and dark purple. In spring, upright, stalkless, fragrant dark red flowers are borne.

Grow in moist but well-drained, deep, humus-rich, preferably acid to neutral soil, in deep or partial shade. It will reach a height of upto 45cm and a spread of upto 30cm.
