    A medium sized apple which is flushed and has short, broad, broken bright red stripes over pale green skin. The creamy white flesh is moderately firm, rather coarse-textured, juicy, and sweet, with a good aromatic flavour. It’s season of use is September and October. (Bedford 1904). Flowering Group 3.

    A medium sized apple which has small, pale yellowish green skin which is tinged dull reddish brown, and thickly dotted with green dots on the shaded side and red flushed with yellow spots on the exposed side. The flesh is greenish white, tender, and crisp and has a rich, refreshing, perfumed juice. It ripens in the first week of August but it doesn’t keep so needs to be eaten straight from the tree throughout August. (Sligo, Ireland, 1819). Flowering Group 2.
