Gooseberries
Gooseberries are long-lived, they will bear good crops for 20 years or more. From an established bush it is possible to expect a yield of 3.5-4.5kg a year.
Gooseberries grow best in a sunny position, they will tolerate partial shade and can be grown on a north facing wall or fence. Gooseberries flower early and are susceptible to cold they should not be planted in a frost pocket. Gooseberries tolerate a wide range of soil conditions as long as the soil isn’t waterlogged.
Gooseberries are available pre-packed from late-October to March. They are available in containers all year round.
