Scutellaria

Downy Skullcap. Hoary Skullcap. Hyssop Skullcap. An upright, bushy perennial which has hairy stems and ovate, toothed, wrinkled, dark green leaves. From summer to early autumn, loose, upright racemes of lipped, violet-blue and white flowers are borne.

Grow in moderately fertile, light, gravelly, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun or light, dappled shade. It will reach a height  of 1m and a spread of 60cm.
