Common Pear. A columnar, occasionally thorny, deciduous tree with ovate to elliptic, glossy, dark green leaves. White flowers open from tinged pink buds in mid spring which are followed by edible pears.

Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 15m and a spread of 10m.
