Prunus

Gean Cherry, Wild Cherry. A vigorous, spreading tree which has red-banded bark and dark green leaves which turn red and yellow in autumn. It bears small white bowl-shaped flowers in mid-spring, followed by heart-shaped red fruits. Deciduous.

Grow in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach an ultimate height of 20m and a spread of 10m.
