Zizia

Golden Alexander. A clump-forming, upright perennial with finely divided, glossy mid-green foliage, giving the plant a light, airy appearance early in the season. In late spring to early summer, flat-topped umbels of small, bright golden-yellow flowers are held above the foliage, providing excellent early nectar for pollinators.

Grow in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Particularly well suited to meadow planting or naturalistic schemes. It will reach a height of around 90cm and a spread of 60cm.
