Forsythia

A bushy shrub bearing ovate to lance-shaped. sharp toothed leaves. Deep, bright yellow flowers are borne in late March and April. Grow in a shrub border, as a specimen, or against a wall. Deciduous.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun or dappled shaded. It will reach a height and spread of 2.5m in 10 years.
