    Goat Willow, Pussy Willow. A deciduous small tree or large shrub with a broad, spreading habit. It has broad, oval leaves with a slightly serrated edge, green on top and covered with soft white hairs underneath. In early spring, it produces silky, silvery catkins that turn yellow as they mature, making it a popular ornamental feature.

    Grow in full sun to partial shade in moderately fertile, moist to wet, well-drained soils. It can tolerate a range of soil types and is often found in wetter areas. It will reach a height of up to 10m and a spread of 6m.

    Common Osier, Basket Willow. A deciduous shrub or small tree with a vigorous, upright habit. It has long, slender, greenish-grey branches and narrow leaves that are dark green above with a silky grey-haired underside. In spring, it produces yellowish catkins that are attractive to pollinators.

    Grow in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained soils. It can tolerate a range of soil types, including wet conditions. It will reach a height of 3-6m, occasionally up to 10m, and a spread of 3-8m.
