Galanthus

Common Snowdrop. A small bulbous perennial which has narrow, greyish-green leaves that emerge before the flowers and persist during and after bloom.  From February to March, delicate, nodding white flowers, each adorned with a green spot at the apex of the inner petals are borne.

Grow in full sun to partial shade in well-drained, fertile soil. It thrives in woodland settings and can naturalise in grassy areas. It will reach a height of 10-15cm and a spread of about 5-10cm.
