Astrantia major ‘Claret’

Masterwort. A tough and robust clump-forming perennial which has coarsely toothed basal leaves. From June to August deep, ruby red pincushion flowerheads are borne.

Grow in fertile, moisture retentive soil, in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 90cm and a spread of 30cm.
