False Indigo. A robust, upright, clump-forming, slowly spreading, perennial which has palmate leaves divided into three ovate, blue-green leaflets. From June to August, racemes of pea-like, deep blue flowers are borne which are followed by decorative, black seed pods.
Grow in open, well-drained, preferably sandy soil in full sun, it is drought tolerant once established. It will reach a height and spread of 90-120cm.
