A robust-growing variety that produces large, smooth, green fruits which ripen to an intense bright red. Very reliable and well suited to the UK’s short growing season. This is a good all-round chilli that can be eaten green or left to mature to red; excellent for eating raw, incorporating into salsas, using in soups and stews, or stuffing with cheese and roasting. Fruits measure an average of 2-3″ (5-7.5 cm) in length and 1″ (2.5 cm) in diameter. The plant has a compact and bushy habit, growing 2-3 feet (60-90 cm) tall with a spread of 1-1 feet (30-45 cm). Best grown in pots in greenhouses or polytunnels. Heat: Medium – approximately 2,500-10,000 SHUs.
