Tube Clematis. A bushy perennial with upright, branching stems and deeply divided, dark green, aromatic leaves that resemble those of the herbaceous peony. From August to September, clusters of tubular, hyacinth-like, pale to deep blue flowers with recurved petals and a light fragrance are borne which are followed by silvery, fluffy seedheads in autumn.
Grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 90cm and a spread of 1.2m.
