Cyperus prolifer ‘Little Prince’

Egyptian Papyrus. A vigorous, exotic grass-like foliage plant which from July to October has huge umbels looking vaguely like giant onion flowers. Widely used as a house plant it also looks great in a pot or at the edge of a pond or in boggy areas.

Grow in free draining but moist soil or compost, especially in hot, dry weather in full sun. To keep this plant over winter it must be kept frost free although if the main plant is killed there are usually enough self-sown seeds to ensure future plants.  It will reach a height of 80cm and a spread of 40cm.
