Eryngium x zabelii ‘Big Blue’
Sea Holly. A clump-forming perennial with oblong to circular, toothed, silvery-veined green basal leaves and spiny, blue-tinted stem leaves. In July and August masses of cone shaped, spiky, electric-blue flowerheads are borne on stiffly, erect, branched blue stems with blue bracts.
Needs well-draining, poor to moderately fertile soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 80cm and a spread of 45cm.
