Sweet Woodruff. Sweet-scented Bedstraw. Wild Baby’s Breath. Master of the Woods. A rhizomatous perennial which has erct, square, almost hairless stems, and whorls of lance-shaped to elliptic, emerald-green leaves, with tiny, marginal prickles. Star shaped, scented white flowers are borne in umbel-like cymes from late spring to midsummer. Hay scented when dried.
Grow in sun or dappled shade, however the foliage may become scorched in strong sun, especially if the soils are dry. Once its established it will develop some tolerance to drought. It will reach a height of 45cm and has an indefinate spread.
