A popular outdoor variety that produces a heavy crop of large blue-black grapes which mature to a true black in good summers. Sweet refreshing flavour, delicious for juicing or wine-making, and can sometimes be eaten fresh. They make wines with an acidity flavour and good taste. Red leaves in the autumn add ornamental value as a climbing shrub. A healthy bush with good resistance to fungal diseases.
