Leek ‘Musselburgh’
‘The Scottish Flag Leek’ 19th century. One of those reliable old favourite varieties that Grandad grew to produce an excellent crop of tasty, thick, short solid white stems with broad dark flags through the winter (Oct- Mar). also if Harvested young, as baby leeks, these have a fantastically sweet flavour which doesn’t falter if they are left to mature. Exceptional hardy. Height: 45cm (18″). Spread: 30cm (12″).
