Leycesteria formosa ‘Golden Lantern’
Himalayan Honeysuckle. An upright, thicket-forming shrub which has attractive, bamboo-like, blue-green first-year shoots, and ovate, tapered golden-yellow leaves. Pendant spikes of white flowers within dark purple-red bracts, are borne terminally or from the upper leaf axils, from summer to early autumn.
Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Protect from cold drying winds. It will reach a height and spread of 2m.
