Metasequoia glyptostroboides

Dawn Redwood. A conical tree with ascending branches which has flaky cinnamon coloured bark. It produces bright green, feathery leaves which turn gold in autumn. Produces brown, round cones.

Grow in humus-rich moist but well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 20-40m and a spread of 5m.
