Purple Moor Grass. A British native often found in moist places such as heaths and moors but it is also very tolerant of much drier conditions. A clump-forming, deciduous grass which has arching, linear, dark green leaves. From summer to autumn tall, slender stems bearing feathery, purple flower spikelets are borne.
Grow in moderately fertile, preferably acid soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 70-120cm and a spread of 50cm.
