Mock Orange. A small to medium-sized deciduous shrub with arching stems and very fragrant, single-white flowers with a purple basal blotch in early summer. This is a plant that until recently we have been selling as Philadelphus ‘Bicolore’ as we had purchased it as such from the former National Collection of Philadelphus, it wasn’t until Chris Sanders formally of Bridgemere Nurseries advised us of our error. So firstly apologies to anyone who has purchased this from us over the last two decades as P. ‘Bicolore’ but you now have a rare better form.
Grow in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or dappled shade. It will reach a height of 1.2m and spread of 2m.
