A compact, evergreen shrub with an upright, bushy habit which has small oval, dark green leaves with creamy white margins that are strongly aromatic when crushed. From April to June, small, tubular, soft lavender to pale purple flowers often with darker purple markings are borne in clusters.
Grow in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers a slightly sheltered conditions to protect it from cold winds. It will reach a height of 1.5m and spread of 90cm.
