An upright, rhizomatous, clump-forming perennial which has oval, toothed or slightly lobed, prominently veined, glossy mid-green leaves. From midsummer to early autumn, branching stems produce daisy-like flowerheads with bright yellow ray-florets and high, conical centres of green disc florets, which become yellowish brown with age.
Grow in moderately fertile, preferably heavy but well-drained soil that does not dry out, in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of upto 2m and a spread of 90cm.
