A clump-forming, evergreen perennial with broad, arching, strap-shaped, glossy, dark green leaves and sturdy, erect stems bearing large, rounded heads of trumpet-shaped, violet-blue flowers in summer.
Grow in moist, fertile, but free draining soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 1m and a spread of 60cm.
Japanese Anemone. A vigorous, erect, woody-based perennial which has spreading, suckering shoots, and oval, palmate, mid-green leaves. Bears pale pink flowers from July to September.

Yarrow. A vigorous, mat-forming perennial which has linear to lance-shaped, dark green leaves. From early to mid-summer the bright magenta-pink flowerheads with white disc-florets are borne in flat corymbs, the flowers fade with age.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in an open site in full sun, but will tolerate a wider range of conditions. It will reach a height and spread of 60cm.
