Little Bluestem. A densely tufted, slowly spreading, clump-forming, deciduous perennial grass which has erect stems bearing linear, mid- to blue-green leaves which turn bronze-orange in autumn. From late summer into autumn, narrow racemes of purple-bronze flower spikelets followed by fluffy, silvery-white seed heads are borne.

Grow in moderately fertile, slightly acid, sharply-drained soil in full sun but will tolerate a wide range of conditions except shallow, chalky soils. It will reach a height of 1.2m and a spread of 60cm.
