Tilia cordata ‘Winter Orange’

A rounded-spreading tree with heart-shaped green leaves that turn a rich buttery yellow in autumn. The young shoots and buds are pale orange, which become a stronger burnt orange colour later in the year. Produces clusters of creamy-white, sweetly fragranced flowers in July.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It prefers alkaline soils but will tolerate acid soils. Protect from strong winds. It will reach a height of 15m and a spread of 7m.
