A dense, upright, evergreen shrub which has elliptic to lance-shaped leaves that emerge red to olive green with pink margins before maturing to dark grey-green with creamy-white margins. Broad heads of creamy-white flowers are borne in late spring which may be followed by red fruits.

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 6m and spread of 4m in 10 years.
