Bittersweet. A medium to large apple which has yellow to greenish yellow, skin which is smooth and slightly waxy, and is slightly striped or flecked dark red. The white flesh is sweet with some astringency, it is frequently reddened under the flush. The fruit is ripe in late October to early November. (Somerset) Flowering Group 5

The flesh is yellow, firm, crisp with a highly flavoursome juice. Its season of use is from September to October. A charming lawn tree due to its drooping habit.
